Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026 · This is a preview draft; the legal-entity details marked below are confirmed with Katian before the site goes live.
Who we are
Katian (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. [Legal entity name, registered address and company/VAT number to be confirmed by Katian before launch.] You can reach us about anything on this page at the contact details on our Contact page.
What we collect, and why
When you send a message, inquiry or commission request through a form on this site, we collect the name, email address and message you give us. We use it for one purpose only: to reply to you and, if you commission a piece, to carry out that work. The legal basis is your consent, and, once a commission begins, the performance of our contract with you.
We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. This site sets only the minimal cookies needed to work.
How your message reaches us
Our contact and commission forms are operated for us by our website studio, FutureSite (futuresite.be), acting as our data processor. Your message is transmitted to Katian and is not used for any other purpose. A confirmation email is sent to you to verify the request is genuinely yours.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry messages only as long as needed to answer you and, where relevant, for the duration of a commission plus the period required by law for our records. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, just write to us. You also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. For anything unclear, please get in touch, we would rather explain it in plain words than hide behind this page.
