Each Katian jacket is cut to a pattern drawn by hand and sewn in our atelier one piece at a time. We make a small number of each design. When a run is finished, it is finished. What you see here is what exists.
We do not present a jacket with a single photograph and a list of specifications. We tell you what the leather is, where it came from, how the piece is made, and what it will become over time. We think that matters.
Jacket 01
The Constanța
The leather
Full-grain vegetable-tanned calf hide, sourced from a tannery in Tuscany.
Inspiration
Named after the oldest continuously inhabited city on the Black Sea coast, a place where Europe meets something older and harder to name. The Constanța has the same quality: structured and composed on the surface, but with a depth that only reveals itself gradually.
How it is made
The hide is cut in a single session to preserve the grain direction. Side seams are double-stitched with waxed linen thread. The collar is stiffened with a thin band of vegetable-tanned shoulder leather, no synthetic interfacing, nothing that will degrade before the jacket does. All hardware is solid brass, sourced from a supplier in northern Italy.
How it ages
Over the first year, the hide softens at the elbows and collar while holding its structure through the body. The grain deepens in color where it meets light and wear most often. By the third year, the Constanța has shaped itself entirely to the person wearing it. It will not look like anyone else's jacket.

The Marseille
The leather
Full-grain tumbled calfskin, naturally pebbled finish, in deep slate.
Inspiration
Designed during a winter in the south of France, a city that is beautiful and rough and completely indifferent to what is fashionable. The Marseille is deliberately uneven. Its asymmetric front placket is cut slightly off-centre. This is intentional. Symmetry, here, would feel like a lie.
How it is made
Tumbled grain means no two panels look exactly the same, the texture shifts from hide to hide, panel to panel. Each skin is selected for its natural variation rather than despite it. The lining is raw-edge, hand-basted before the final seam closes it in. There are four pockets: two external, two internal, each with a hand-stitched opening edge.
How it ages
The pebbled surface resists scratches better than smooth leather, but it also holds its texture longer. The natural oils in the hide make conditioning simple, a single application once a year keeps it supple. In three years, the jacket is softer and darker in the areas of most use. In ten, it looks like it was always yours.

The Lucca
The leather
Soft pull-up full-grain hide in warm tobacco brown.
Inspiration
A Tuscan hill town where nothing happens quickly and everything is made to last. The Lucca is the most relaxed jacket in the collection, a clean single-breasted cut, minimal collar, no external pockets. It is designed to be worn without thinking, and to look better the less attention you give it.
How it is made
Pull-up leather marks easily and reveals every crease, which is the entire point. The hide is left almost unfinished. A single coat of beeswax at the tannery provides the only surface treatment it will ever need from us. The rest belongs to the person wearing it. Seams are single-stitched with waxed thread and run completely straight, on pull-up leather, a crooked seam is visible from across the room. We take no shortcuts here.
How it ages
The first scratch you put in the Lucca will disappear with the warmth of your hand. This is pull-up leather: the marks come and go, and what remains is a surface that is entirely, unmistakably yours. After two years of regular wear, the tobacco brown has developed a range, from pale gold at the raised grain to deep amber in the folds. No two are alike after a year.

The Brenner
The leather
Heavyweight full-grain steerhide, vegetable-tanned, in natural black.
Inspiration
The Brenner Pass is where the Alps become something you have crossed rather than something you are looking at. This jacket is built for that quality of commitment, substantial, precise, and made entirely for the long term. It is the heaviest jacket we make. It is also the one that will outlast every other jacket you own.
How it is made
The steerhide is the thickest leather we cut in this atelier. It requires more time at the table, more force at the machine, and longer drying between stages. All hardware is solid brass, chosen from the same supplier we have used since we opened, their rivets and rings are set slightly heavier than industry standard, which is why we use them. Every rivet is set by hand. The lining is full-length, cut from a woven cotton twill that breathes.
How it ages
Heavyweight vegetable-tanned steerhide needs time to break in. In the first weeks, it is stiff in the shoulders and resistant at the cuffs. This is not a defect. By the end of the first year, the leather has learned how you move. By the end of the fifth, the Brenner is the best jacket you have ever owned, shaped to you in a way that cannot be reproduced, structured in a way that has not compromised.
